Loss of Singapore passport
Note: Please check and confirm the loss of your passport before reporting the loss. Passports reported lost will be cancelled and cannot be used, even if later recovered.

Singapore Citizens who have lost their passports while travelling in the Republic of Korea should report the loss to the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) in Singapore using SingPass at https://www.ica.gov.sg/documents/passport/loss and apply for a temporary travel document called a Document of Identity (DOI) online to facilitate their return to Singapore.
When reporting the loss, please indicate that the country/place of loss as “Republic of Korea” (not Singapore) and proceed to apply for and make an online payment for the DOI.
The Embassy will contact you when your DOI is ready for collection during our Consular hours (Mon-Fri, 10am – 12pm & 2pm – 4 pm). Processing time is at least one working day. You are kindly advised to re-schedule your departure out of the Republic of Korea, if necessary.
The DOI is for your return to Singapore only, and not for travel to a third country. Upon your return to Singapore, you are to surrender the DOI and apply for a replacement passport with ICA.
If you are unable to report the loss of your passport or apply for a DOI online, please call the Embassy at +82-(0)2-774-2464 during office hours or email us at singemb_seo@mfa.sg
If you have lost your passport as a victim of crime in the Republic of Korea, you may also wish to report the loss of your passport to the local police.
Singapore Citizens who are long-term stayers in the Republic of Korea who have lost their passports are to report the loss of your passport with ICA (https://www.ica.gov.sg/documents/passport/loss) and submit an application for a replacement passport.
